0xFC == 0×3C ??

Quand on a une question, comme celle-ci, on fait un peu d’abstraction:
0xFC = 1111 1100 (binaire)

0×3C = 0111 1100 (binaire)
Malheur a celui qui a travaille avec deux programmes, l’un qui 0xF comme 111 et l’autre qui considere 0xF comme 1111.

bufferoverflow in java

je viens de lire le “releas notes” du JDK 1.5 update 11 aka java 5.
et je fus frppae au hasard par une ligne:
File.deleteOnExit() with long file name causes buffer overflow
J’en deduis qu’avec un JRE < 1.5 on pourrait manigancer un
overflow controlle et atteindre un denial of service sur une machine cible.
